Why are they so terribly angry and bitter? What makes them such hate-mongers? What makes them reduce themselves to 5th graders. When they have to make a point they seem to use insults and hate speech instead of talking like a rational, intelligent, adult. Is actually making a point without sliding into infancy and screaming "YOU IS STUPID!" beyond them? Is there one way out conservative who can answer without being the school-yard bully? Who can actually make a rational point?

Thanks neowhatever. You have proven my point that they have no argument. And since they have no opinions or sensible arguments they have to resort to being children and calling people names.

Thank you also Rat. People have adult opinions and post here. Then we have you. No opinion, so resorting to childish name calling. All you have done is bolster my point. Thanks you. Conservatives seem to be insulting, immuture child with no opinions or actaully thoughts. Interesting.

It's really pretty simple. They were in charge, like big bullies thumping other people over the head with their so-called superior moral stance. It didn't matter that the war was going badly and that mismanagement of it was like a neon light over Bush's head - they just kept on with the "you're with us or against us" rhetoric. Now the tide has turned against them. Scandals have rocked their world, and the Libby trial was the icing on the cake. Now they are in disfavor with the general public and they can't take the heat.

If you ask them a legitimate question about Bush's failings, they respond with some nonsense about Bill Clinton, because they can't admit Bush's failings. If you talk about the mismanagement of the war they squeal and call you a traitor and a coward. They are so desperate to be on top again that they resort to the tactics used during the 2004 campaign. Slander, character assassination, swift-boating, you name it - if it's low ball tactics, they're right on top of it. The thing they are too arrogant to get is that most of America is rejecting their heavy handed and school yard bully way of dealing with those who disagree with them. They will continue to cut their own throats right up until Nov '08 and what will they get for their efforts? A Democratic President, no matter who the candidate turns out to be.

We still don't know who you are talking about when you speak very vaguely of "way out conservatives." That is what RAT means. Who are you talking about? I think of columnists George F. Will and Charles Krauthammer as being examples of good spokespersons for conservatism. But neither one of them engage in the childishness you are talking about. How about former Judge Robert Bork? He is certainly an outstanding intellect and a staunch conservative. And he is outstandingly rational in explaining how to interpret the Constitution! (Far more rational than "way out" liberals like Justices William O. Douglas and William Brennan.)

Because they "blew it"- & they KNOW it. They THOUGHT they had the perfect "puppet" in G.W.Bush when he got elected 7 years ago- & it turned out that NOTHING they hoped to get out of him- happened. Instead, he got us bogged down in an unpopular war, lost the House & Senate to the Democrats, failed to move any of their "moral agendas", -and turned many Independant voters away from Conservative causes. On top of THAT, -they can't even find a half-way decent conservative candidate to run for president next year (Which means the White House will be "lost" to them- too.) So is it any wonder why they're alittle cranky these days?! :)

Their arrogance and presumption that they are better than the "average" person, does not allow for the possibility that anyone could disagree or question them! When challenged they think of it as an insult to their social standing, so they act like the spoiled jerks they are!

conservatives by their very nature wish to preserve things as they are and have always been. say for example if library cards were to include a microchip conservatives would be most upset.

they are still trying to come to terms with electricity, running water, and sewerage, yet alone the motor vehicle

Frustration with realization that all their beliefs and actions are a total laughable failure. Pure, raw despair. Just see RAT above, a prototype loser.
