computer freezing.........?

my computer used to work well a month ago. now the problem is it is a bit slow. programmes like gta san andreas and fifa 07 which used to work perfectly are now freezing. please tell me a way to get rid of this problem.

sounds like it may be spyware, or a virus they tend to chew up memory

do a virus scan and spy/adware scan see if you cant find the problem OR reinstall windows, my pc gets chocked often so i reinstall windows and she runs like new again haha but its alot of work
