How am I Suppose to Live Without You by Michael Bolten is awesome as Michael Bolton is himself. I also love Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, John Cougar Mellencamp.

Almost anything by Joni Mitchell and there's a lot of songs to choose from with her recording career going back to the late 60's. I still get blown away thinking "That's exactly how I feel" and hear new things in her songs all the time. Her poetry woven into music especially on her albums "Blue", "Court and Spark", "Clouds" and "Ladies of the Canyon" have to be heard to be appreciated. These are all earlier albums dating from the late 60's to mid 70's, but that doesn't take anything away from her music dating to today, her earlier work is what appeals to me most. Nothing I could write would do her music justice.

Hanson - "Great Divide"

I always loved them, but after hearing that song I knew they had really taken their music to the next level. besides the fact that the song talks a lot about nature, which i'm really into since i'm a zoology major. the lyrics are so much more meaningful than anything else they've done so far, in my opinion.

this song is from their album that hasn't been released yet, but you can buy the song on itunes for $1 and all the proceeds go to AIDS research.

When I first heard Longview by Green Day, it was a big moment in my life. Their new stuff isn't too good, but it opened my eyes to a lot of the music around me. That's when I started listening to The Offspring and Rancid. I would've never discovered music if it weren't for that song.

Devics, they have several recordings and no bad songs. Firehead and Nothing Hurts are amazing songs by them.

Right now I'm looking at Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, yeah I know I'm behind the times by a decade on that one.

I've discovered Brandi Carlile within the past year, and she has very quickly become my favorite singer of all time. It's impossible for me to choose just one song of hers that means the most to me, but "Follow" has seen me through some rough times. Her new single, The Story, is actually the free download of the week on iTunes, so check her out if you want.

Dream a little dream sung by The Beautiful South. I doesn't change me. Just like it... sound flirty and french!

The one that changed me Amazing Graze. It's so powerful especially if we contemplate the meaning of the song word by word and tailor them sentence by sentence. Amazingly Great!
