In my learning it means you will be hearing some sort of news soon....

It means happy social days have arrived. The bees and butterflies are social beings, hopping from flower to flower. They are a kind of natural match makers. They always bring good news associated with love and match making.
The bees have one more trait, they make and store honey, the sweetest thing in nature with lot of medicinal and nutritional value. And talking of honey, Honeymoon is not very far away.

From my understanding of Native American Mythology, the bee represents "the sweetness of life." Consequently, having one enter your home is an excellent sign.

It means you left your window or door open! j/k
There are several interpretations. One is a harbinger of good fortune and a pleasant spring. Another, more Christian in nature, it is a symbol of Christ Himself, the sweetness of honey and the sting of justice. Still another, not so pleasantly, is a harbinger of coming death. I myself, would see it as the first definition, harmony with nature.
