Basically am asking if there are any problems with US Customs etc.

How about using FedEx to send them over? Heard that we can't send over Lithium batteries.

Yes.

When sendnig ANY form of electronics to or from the USA, you have to hand deliver it to customs for pre-clearance. I was shipping a modem to Italy and literally had to drive 4 hours to the Atlanta airport to have it pre-cleared...

Mobile phones can be validly sent to the US as long as these are properly documented and there will be no problem with Customs.
