"Short" can be taken two ways here. Referring to how tall a
person is would be one reference. Referring to how much
money is lacking would be the other.
Height is relevant! Pro Basketball players call high school
kids as "short". High schoolers look at seventh graders as
short. Seventh graders look at dwarves as short. Dwarves
look at midgets as short. NOBODY is short--we are all as tall
as we are meant to be.
I'm currently short $260 for buying a newer computer!
And, still another "short" that applies here on YA is someone
being two bricks short of a full load. Or, being one sandwich
short of a complete picnic. "Short" is very relative.
