if he gets worse i would seriously consider taking him to the er some babies can have serious complications from shots..it can cause brain swelling and lead to irreversible damage.....and maybe next time don't let the Dr. give him so many at one time it's alot for their little systems to deal with

What shots did he get? I assume the same as at 2 months, minus another HepB, which is what is usually required? One of the side affects u need to call your doc abt is uncontrollable crying for a period of several hours...he may have an allergic reaction etc. but abnormal fussiness is a normal side affect. However if he's better after Tylenol and didn't have this reaction w/ the same shots the first time (or did and u notified your doc and they said it was ok) then don't worry too much. But read the info sheets they gave u at the office abt the shots he got, they'll tell u specifically what to look for, most symptoms show w/in several hours of getting them.

It could be a reaction to the vaccines. Remember to document that, his pediatrician should know. It isn't bad it is just a reaction. You should also look at any papers that you got today with the shots to see if he has any other reactions just to be safe. Other than that you can try a warm bath to ease the pain and calm him down, but that won't work unless he likes baths. The only other thing I can think of to help is cuddle as much as possible. But by tomorrow it should be better but again it depends on the injections, some can cause fussiness for up to a week. Good luck.

yes the tylenol did wear off as it usely dose around bed time. it should be a lot better tomorrow it might be alittle sorr. if it gets brumped to much but there should not be any more screaming in the morning . the day after shots my kids were all fine a little tried maybe but thats all. if there happens to be screaming in the morning i would call your doctor and at less cheak with the nurse and a warm bath alwas helps if it is very sore.

He may feel cruddy for the next couple of days, just keep him dosed up on the Tylenol...every four hours usually...don't let him go past 5-6 hrs without it or he may get fussy again! I know shots are hard on the little ones and its so hard for us to watch our babies cry and be uncomfortable, but remember it is for the best! Hang in there!! Hope he's better tomorrow!

He'll be fine tomorrow if you are cool. Babies pick up their emotions and reactions from us. You really have to have that "No Big Deal" attitude or his reactions will be worse.

I always told my kids when they were going to get their shots, even when they were babies. And I gave them the Tylenol before we went to the doctors office. That seemed to always work well. Hang in there, sometimes keeping our kids safe means things that they won't like....the difference between being a parent and being a friend.

Myself, I would take him to an emergency room so they can document and observe him. This could be a reaction to the vaccine and the information should be made known to your doctor. Uncontrollable crying is worth noting. If you take him you might get some rest yourself. All the best.

4 and 6 month shots are pretty much the same as the 2 month ones...the ones that are live and can make him sick, anyway......within 24 hours the effect of the vaccine should subside, and if it goes longer than tomorrow evening, please make it known to your doctor. You can try ice on his legs, as they might be sore tomorrow. Good Luck!

my dr reccomends giving my kids tylenole for 24 hrs around the clock to keep them out of pain. unfortunatley every baby has a differerent tolerence for pain, also it depends on how chubby thoses thighs are and how far into the muscle they go.

rotate tynol and motrin every four hours give it to him/her at the 0.4 line on the dispenser and rub the legs where the shots were giving very softly whal feeding him/her give it 24 hours sometimes 48 but that will keep fevers down and your baby should be happy not tired from the medison you will see the difference i promise. good luck.
