I am looking for some natural way to help my 4 year old son get some relief from the painful growing pain in his legs, I don't like to use drugs, any ideas would be very much appreciated thanks.

Calcium is the best thing you could give him. Growing bones experience growing pains and what better way to alleviate the pain than to feed them. In order for calcium to be absorbed, the body must have sufficient vitamin D. So plenty of sunshine is needed too. Or maybe fish (Vit. D.)

Best natural sources of calcium are: milk and milk products, all cheeses, soybeans, tofu, sardines, salmon, peanuts, walnuts, sunflower seeds, dried beans, kale, broccoli, collard greens. As well as maintaining strong bones and teeth, calcium will alleviate insomnia and calm your little boy's nervous system and growing pains.

Also, taking and calcium and magnesium at bedtime can help you get a good night's rest. Maybe get some magnesium supplements for children and take one at night with a warm glass of milk??

As above, make sure he is getting lots of calcium and magnesium. Magnesium works synergistically with calcium and it has a role in preventing and curing pains, especially muscle cramps. You can buy the two together in a supplement from health food stores.

Also make sure that he is very well supplied with potassium, too - more green veg! Bananas are also a good source. Many people do not get enough of this essential mineral because of junk diets.

If you can, get him to drink cider vinegar and honey once or twice a day. It is a good source of minerals in an accessible form.
