I get on here to pass the time at work and find myself admiring some of the people here, and getting "sorta crushes" although they are nothing but an avatar usually.
Does anyone else ever get this way and love the escape?
(And if you are courageous, name someone that you have thought about)
I asked this in two categories because I want two opinions.

I usually get on here out of sheer compulsion and a desire to avoid work I really should be doing, so it's not so much an escape as a really enjoyable guilty habit that does not go well with my procrastinator's nature.
But when the questions are good and plentiful and the people I recognize are in top form and make me laugh and think and smile, it really is a lovely escape. I've definitely gotten crushes on some people- not scared to name 'em, either!- Your Gay Lord (we can eat oats together, love!), scruffy (she's like my dream girl), Kedar (I love his avatar) . . . and so many more.
Even with its flaws, the GLBT section of Yahoo! Answers is really great.

This is a diversion all right, but dreaming about the avatars, and developing crushes... could be possible for some. But this is like trying to judge a book by its cover. And yes, add to the idea of serendipity... who knows the avatar you had a crush on becomes the reality you had been searching for for ages :-D

For me it's an escape I work nights and get bored.
Now crushes on avatars no, sometimes I answer without
looking at the Avatar/pictures.
The guys here at the office are hotter to look at.

It can be a form of escape. Then again, it can be something that can really enrich one's life.
Any online activity can become addictive though, and so I pull back every once and a while.
Yes, sometimes I think it would be nice to actually know some of the posters on here, but then again, I like the anonymity.

I get on here so I can find someone who was raised on a farm and grain fed so we can live happily ever after.... or at least for a week end... no seriously... it is sometimes hard not to crush... we see opinions, we see tags and we want to at least be a friend...
don't get me wrong... I wouldn't turn down the farmer!

I also come on here at work to waste time when I'm bored of my job.
I don't get crushes on anybody here, but UncleFrunk intrigued me enough for me to make contact (haven't really had time to chat to him properly though).
And somebody who admired a couple of my answers has IM'd me, and we're cyberbuddies now.

no way...lol but i don't come on here alot. some people made me pissed with their answers but if the avatar is a photo of a cute guy i get bit like in day dream mode...
