master's is a specialty. i know a guy with 4 bachelors going for more and doesnt know what he wants to do in life. just loves to learn.

Not much. Most degrees are just resume padding. I know that in most of the computer industry experience counts far more than letters. I know one guy with a degree in network management, but he can't get a job. If he had one certification (worth about 3 credit hours) and six months of experience, he'd be a shoe-in. If you want to learn something economically useful through formal education, then may I suggest engineering or one of the hard sciences? -yk

Depends on what the masters degree is? MBA is business and in my opinion the most flexable. But being an eng. major maybe not the best choice. Look at it this way, there is a masters program for every undergrad program. And it's still jsut a bunch of bs.

The way I look at education is that, even the best education is only a guideline. Now taking that education farther means discovery. What discovery unveils is the new standard for education. That is the only practical application there is as far as I can see.
