no prob brother no question is a foolisg question
48 hours can be written as 48 x 60 minutes(1hr= 60 mins.)
as there are 60 secs in 1 min so it becomes
= 48 x 60 x 60 secs

1 min = 60secs
60mins = 60 x 60
= 3600secs.
If 1 hour = 3600secs,
then 48 hours = 48 x 3600secs
= 172800secs.

I answered a question just like this recently. Click the following link to see how I explained how to learn to convert from one unit to another. To apply it to your question, just follow the same basic steps, but you will have to apply two ratios, one to go from hours to minutes, and then another to go from minutes to seconds. Once you get the idea, you'll know how to do it from now on. And it's not a dumb question. Survey random people on the street and ask them how many seconds are in 48 hours, and I bet you most people have no clue.

(48hrs) * (60min/hr) * (60sec/min).
punch that in and you'll have your answer.
The key is to break it all down into things you know.
