Women have been discriminated against yet in the western world the pendulum has certainly swung against men. This list is in no way complete.

Men make up only 43% of college grads in the US. Men face much harsher penalties for the same crime. Men lose big in divorces and hardly ever get the kids. Men make up very few teachers, nurses, veterinary and pharmacy students yet there is no cry to get more. When something is male dominated there is a mad dash for more women. Men are often victims of false accusations which there is no real penalty for. Several times more money is spent on womens health yet men on average live 6 years less and are 4 more times more likely to commit suicide. Only men can be drafted. There are government agencies dedicated to women and their health but none for men. Violence against men is not only seen as acceptable but funny.

I bet people will be sarcastic but this is real. So I ask men and women who really believe in equality, what will you do?

First off, I don't believe in equality. It sounds great, but it's just not possible. Men and women are different, and we get trouble when we try to be the same.

The current trend toward making all men look like perverted buffoons (just turn on any radio or television station) and punishing them simply for being men will reverse itself naturally, but painfully. We are already seeing some of the results in the West: declining marriage and birth rates; rising divorce, bureaucracy, unemployment, and health-care costs. It sounds strange to link all these things with misandry, but as you pick apart the philosophies of feminism and its twin, Marxism, the truth begins to reveal itself.

What will I do? I will live my life as a man and teach my son to do the same. The rest of the world will come around eventually. Patriarchy is inevitable.

Don't forget male bashing and the obvious effects this is going to have on the generations to come.

However, the real power in the world does still remain with men. Don't know why, but I think a lot has to do with lip service given to keep the important status quo and give ground in the less important areas.

It's your choice what you want to do with your life. There is discrimination, but I hardly think it is against men in most situations. The class system we used to have is not nearly as harsh as it used to be--with all the jobs available here, I fail to see how young people can't find a job, get a car and go to college, all the while staying at home while doing it. That's life, not a punishment.

People in countries like Chechnya, Kenya, South Africa, Brazil and other places have limited choices. It is not like living in India with a caste system for us. I save my sympathy for people on the streets, single mothers, the disabled and the mentally ill.

Sorry, can't put my support behind this one.
I just don't like the idea every statistic needs a government program to fix it.
I feel exactly the same way when people want to bend society to accommodate any other groups.
In case you're wondering, I'm a white Catholic male. I've met annoying people in my life, but I don't feel I've been a victim of discrimination.

Men complain about the rights of men and women complain about the rights of women. In many countries throughout the world, you're not even allowed to argue the point.

Men still benefit from more double standards than women do.

Just some of the advantages of being a man are:

- One mood, all the time
- Keys, comb, wallet, and I'm out the door
- My best friend doesn't call me for weeks and I'm not thinking that he must be mad at me.
- I slept with about a dozen women before I got married, and I'm referred to as 'experienced'. If my wife had done that, she'd be a slut!

Now excuse me while I go bask in the joys of being a man.

i don't doubt that what you say is true. but you are almost like a voice in the wilderness.

during the creation of women's' liberation there was a phrase that became a catapult for the movement. "women of the world unite" and they did.

until men are willing to present to the world the atrocities done to them by "the weaker sex" they will wallow in their own suffering.

You forgot the main obligatory one and one that has a substantial impact on a guy's existence. -females have reproductive rights and adult men do no longer. females have 3 guidance on a thank you to choose out of parenthood and adult men have 0. If adult men protest this, they're fined and JAILED. ...curious approximately wanting a similar factor that females can do legally. some females do no longer desire to be mum and dad and decide to choose out. nicely, some adult men additionally do no longer desire to be mum and dad and that they had like the criminal ability to choose out besides. Did a number of you only think of "nicely that guy is a loser and he desires to guy up and be in charge for his toddler?" Do you employ a similar standards for females who abort? adult men might desire to combat for their reproductive rights. females have 3. adult men have NONE. it extremely isn't equivalent and that's no longer honest. adult men might desire to surprising to a economic abortion. the place their rights to be a father are bumped off and their money isn't taken each and each month. you won't have the ability to furnish females the spectacular to choose out of parenthood and not provide adult men that surprising in a meant egalitarian society.

well, it kinda balances out because women still aren't given the equal rights they are in search of. Look at walmart, they don't pay their female employees as much. also, women have more to deal with in terms of health. they are the ones who get pregnant, not the men. as for the college grads issue, that's the fault of the men themselves. to look at major positions in the world right now, you can definitely see they are still held by men. until this changes, there should not be a 'mens equal rights movement.' they are given more opportunity and in most cases, people are biased towards them. I mean, look at the constitution, many times has there been a proposal suggesting the equal treatment of men and women, but it has never been passed.

There is one thing that is done to men that I totally think is unfair and that's that as children little boys are taught to feel shame for displaying tears!
