Yes there are 2 white castles near O'Hare. The one on Des Plaines River Road and the one at Harlem/Milwaukee/Howard. But neither is the easiest to get to with public transportation.
Des Plaines River Road - no idea.
Harlem one. Yes you can take the Blue Line EL to Harlem station and take the 228 bus north on Harlem. IF you take the 90N one, it turns left at touhy. You would have to get off and walk a few blocks up Harlem north.

ALSO another way. There is another White Castle at Addison and Elston. You would have to take blue line EL to Addison and then walk east ( I think) to Elston. If the weather is nice and you have time, this would be nice.

You love what you can't have: there are no White Castle restaurants in the Northeast, so the best I can do are the frozen ones in the supermarkets. Closest restaurant is in Northern NJ. Long way to go to get a sack of fresh sliders.

Use Zip Code 60666 (O'Hare) to find the nearest ones. They're not very easy to get to via public trans. The one that comes reasonably close is the one on Addison and Kedzie, and that requires you to take the Blue Line toward downtown, then take the Addison bus east.

Wish I could be of more help. Enjoy the sliders!

PS: ATS is the People Mover System at O'Hare. Basically, take the People Mover train from whatever terminal you're coming in, to the remote lot area, where the Kiss 'n Fly is located. Then pick up the Pace bus up to Des Plaines.

The closes one is at 465 Des Plaines River Road in Des Plaines, not too far from the airport. According to the CTA, the way to get there is:

1. Walk 0.1 mile NE from O'HARE AIRPORT to ATS - O'HARE TERMINAL 2 STOP

2. Take PATS (PAC) TO ATS KISS 'N' FLY

3. Take PACE BUS # 250
Depart: O'HARE KISS 'N' FLY BUS STOP
Arrive: LEE & ELLINWOOD
Walk 0.3 mile NE to 465 S DES PLAINES AVE

Now, I'm not sure what the "ATS - O'HARE TERMINAL 2 STOP" is, or the "PATS (PAC)". However I believe the "Kiss N Fly" is a parking area where people drop off people who are going to O'Hare and can only stay there for a few miutes (they call it the "Kiss N Fly" because you give the passenger a goodbye kiss and they jump on the plane and fly). You can ask somebody where that is if you really have to know.

The next closest White Castle is at 7550 N. Harlem Ave. in Chicago, but you have to take a train and a bus to get there and it takes about 30 minutes to get there.

I put a link below to all the other White Castles in the near by area. Happy Slidering...

A cabride to the closest is the best bet. There are 2 that are not too far away. They are identified as # 3 and #1 on the White Castle locator map:

My recommendation is to search the Internet for the closest. I know of two which are pretty close, not sure which is closer. There is one at Harlem and Belmont and also one on Harlem near Touhy. Getting there on public transportation is doable, but a pain. Each one is roughly fifteen or twenty minutes from the airport in a car or cab. You could also take the blue line to Harlem and then get on a Harlem bus.

Too bad you are not flying to MIdway, you could walk to a Whities.

I have been browsing more than four hours today looking for answer to the same question, and I haven't found any interesting discussion like this. It is pretty worth enough for me.

Doubt if you find one nearby. Go to the website and try the store locator. You'll have better luck. Those things give you gas though, be careful! LOL!!!
