I usually switch the lights on first.
However there is another way. Walk tall /confident and smile in a room full of people, that generally lights up any room.

To truly light up a room you you're self must feel lit up. What I'm saying is you need to feel really good about you're self and express it in you're attitude. Then everyone around you will start to feel good too. The problem is there are too many people with cranial rectomiasis. (head stuck so far up their back side all they can do is talk S__T) It's very contagious. Once you start talking crap every body else does too... Pity...
