I am trying to see what type of schools I could get into with my records. I am an Economics major at UCSD, my gpa is a 3.4, I scored a 660 on the GMAT, and I have 2 years of work experience so far interning for a small financial planner's office in Del Mar. What schools could I be accepted to if I went right after graduation, and what could I get into if I worked a few more years.

Most top schools prefer applicants with some full-time experience. As a current undergrad, you'll probably find it difficult getting accepted into top schools (Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg, Chicago, etc.). These schools do accept a very limited number of undergrads, but they are usually people with outstanding experiences, grades and test scores. Your GPA and GMAT are pretty good, but not top-level. If rank is important, you should definitely get a couple more years experience. During that time, try to accumulate as much leadership experience as possible, and think about what you can do to maximize the impact of your resume.

Dam son...you should be able to get into the pick of the liter. I guess it really depends on how much you want to spend (state v. private) and where and if you have a focus. AZ St's W.P. Carey School is friggin great as is USC's. And I gotta say so is Univ. of Az.'s program. I'd say go for gold tho with your credentials...Kellog at Northwestern. And of course there is always Stanford. Alot of schools now offer a "executive MBA" but you will need atleast 4 or 5 years of work experience and 50 g's. Good luck.
