One can't underestimate the power of media; TV, print and others in spreading information and propganda. In the days, weeks, even months following the sept. 11th incident, not only did TV networks repeatedly broadcast the qustionable video clips of Palistinians celebrating the attacks, and the planes crashing into the buildings, but they automatically started the finger pointing to influential islamic fundimentalists like Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. The majority of the American public, with few other muslim references to turn to, saw the implications of Hussein and Bin Laden to sept.11 as meaning that all muslims feel the same way.
No one knows for sure who was behind the whole thing, but with the villification of muslims taking up much of the airtime from almost 5 years ago to...even now, the majority of the public are pretty set of Bin Laden being behind everything. Some would even believe it was Saddam.
As for taking action against Bush, more and more people are begining to see the lies behind the reasons for the war and more and more people are now pissed. But beyond protesting, letter writing, various kinds of civil disobedience...etc, there's not too much people can do. Too many people who supposedly represent us have things to gain in either supporting or not whole-heartedly showing their opposition to the war. Until we get more people who are neither dems nor reps into congress, change will still come slowly.

The 19 men who hijacked airplanes were from Muslim countries - the majority from Saudi Arabia. They were identified as taking flight classes, and staying in the US on expired student visas. I blame fanaticism - the idea that it was so important to kill a bunch of people, even if it cost your life. I do not blame the Muslim Faith.
I don't blame Christianity for the actions of Tim McVeigh (spelling?), the Oklahoma City bomber. Every nation has insane people.
But to suggest that it wasn't the 19 people identified is simply beyond reason.

Even though I'm still not certain about a couple of missing links....things that 'could possibly turn it around'...I would say they want to stay ignorant due to fear. To think or believe that there was the slightest possibility that government would turn on the American people??? Com'on, you've got to be joking.
I don't feel prejudice against anyone. Remember what Jesus said...'love your enemies and bless those who curse you.' So, I pray for people all the time; for this world, for peace.
I can't speak for others, only for myself. I have many feelings and intuitions, but to put them here would be a travesty. People would hate what I have to say...therefore, instead of making new enemies...I choose to let sleeping dogs lay.

There's no evidence to contradict what actually happened. So your theory about 'truth' is hereby debunked.
As it was, 19 of the 19 hijackers did their deed in the name of Islam.
Until Muslim clerics come out and denounce acts of terror, don't expect a lot of sympathy.
