Hi, I have a 1989 chevy corsica that keeps stalling when I have to stop at a stop sign or red light. When I'm driving it down the road, it's fine, it's only when I have to stop. When it does stall, I turn it back on, and put it into drive, and it stalls on me again, also stalls on me when I put it into reverse.I took it to a couple of mechanics, and they can't find the problem. The alternator and battery are good. What else could be the problem? The fuel filter, vacuum leaks, idle air control valve, or fuel pump? I'm asking this because this is the info I found on the internet that it could be. Thanks for any help you can give me.

what your problemb is the torque converter is not un locking when you stop on the front of the trans there is a blue plug you can reach it from under the hood just un plug it and it should stop stalling your torque converter wont lock any more so dont go on long road trips like this so you dont burn up your trans when that happened to me i cut one of the wires and ran a toggle switch so i could manually lock and un lock it hope that works for you it did for me if you have any more questions about that car contact me at cowboy_daddy2002@yahoo.com

it must be a loose cord in the sprint. i might take a glance under the sprint with a flashlight and notice in case you notice something loose or being pulled. in case you do no longer locate something, i might definately take it to the dealership. They comprehend what they are doing, and additionally you comprehend they'll fix it the the perfect option way. in basic terms be keen to pay.
