Are there any details about the KPD's views that you guys can help me with?

So far I have answered one of your questions.
By the time the KPD made it into the Reichstag, and by the time it was banned under Hitler and the National Socialists in 1933, it was driven underground, and by 1935 it ceased to operate as a valid form of opposition to Hitler and the Nazis.
There may have been resentment or regret for following the Comintern's line by certain KPD members, but even a united SPD and KPD would not have been able to win a majority of the Reichstag's seats in the 1933 election. I hope this helps.

Resentment of Stalin would be bad for the health of any KPD member. The party was Stalin's tool and utensil.
