In a very small extent. They're usually not as able to protect themselves as men are. And especially if they have kids. Kids (both boys and girls) are the most important to protect because of that reason, plus the fact that they are so impressionable. Then women, then men. But if the woman is a nasty old fighter who causes a ton of problems for those trying to help her, protect the poor helpless man.

It is NOT (unless children are involved). It is my pet peeve that although women claim it is a "man's world" they have more resources available to them. In a time where 70 percent of society lives paycheck to paycheck BOTH sexes need equal treatment. A woman no matter how ugly or unskilled can always strip, bartend, prostitute, or merely find a guy that will be fend for her. Men do not have such options.
A woman who is young and gets pegnant due to a bad choice is now available for more govt money than she could make working, and the resources, as well as an "out" if she feels it is too much for her (the state will take the baby-no questions asked). Meanwhile the male in that same situation is expected to pay child support for the next 18yrs (even if the state takes the child) and has little or no resources/couseling available. He is expected to find a job even if he and the female are BOTH unemployed at the time.
Too many lower income females are using the system for a "free ride". It needs to be revamped with some conseqences for the female as well...

No, that is flat out sexist. Especially since there are a lot more homeless men than women.
