Im 17. I have goals and am doing great in school. He is a cussing jerk who is verbally abusive to my mother and all he does is be with his 17 year old girlfriend and his lame job only makes him $100 a week. He doesn't pay rent, he doesn't pay any of his bills, mom pays all of his bills. He has it so good and easy living at home. I dont see how im going to get him to move out. Any ideas?

I'm sure the cops would be interested to know about his 17 year old girlfriend. He might not move out on his own, but the cops could assist him.

your mom is the one that needs to grow up and stop paying his bills and tell him to move out. 28 year old guy with a 17 year old gf? can you say stautory rape??? have him arrested if you want him gone that much. Or just wait a year and you can move out and let mom baby him all she wants and take satisfaction knowing that your more mature than your 29 year old brother.

Your mom is going to have to do it. He seems like he is going through a bad point in his life and unfortunately making everyone else miserable in the process. You need to talk to your mom about it and she is probably just doing what all moms do...protecting him and she really just needs to let go, but, try and tell a mom that, its too hard for them to do. You need to point it out to her and perhaps some tough love is needed here. He is obvoiusly depressed and unmotivated , so you need your mom to intervine here and take over. Talk to her or maybe you could both sit down and talk to him together. He sounds like a lost puppy and needs guidance, even at 28. Tell your mom or whoever to take over.

Your mother should tell him he has 1-2 months to find an apartment and move out. Your mother is not doing him any favors by letting him be a free-loading bum. Have the police escort him out if he won't leave.

your mom is going to have to be the one who pursues taking the action in getting him to move out, by continually playing his bills, etc she is only enabling him in not having any responsibility of his own, the only way he will ever learn how to be own his own is once your mom wakes up and realizes that he has to start contributing to the household.....

Look at it this way,, you can move out when you go to college and your mom will still be stuck with him,,, While you will have moved on with your life.
