My ultra favorite author is Stephen King. He has depth to keep you reading all night. He can scare you silly on one page but then have you laughing on the next. My other favorites are Robert E. Howard, Edgar Rice Burroughs and Louis Lamour. But there's really to many greats to name.

F. Scott Fitzgerald, as he could tell a large story in relatively few pages. His books are mainly about high (and low) society in the 1920s--and inspired me to do research into that time period. His characters are so real - I really have enjoyed his books over and over again. My favorite is 'The Great Gatsby.'

Im mostly a fiction reader and a manga reader but here r my fav authors!
Richard Preston - he wrote The Hot Zone mostly non fic book about Ebola! its really interesting a must read!
Celia Rees - wrote a really good non fic (mostly i think) book about mary newbury, a witch
Lemony Snicket - writes the funny and sorta tragic childrens series A Series of Unfortunate Events its very entertaining to read!
Mark Twain - teh famous author Samuel Clemmins! (i think thats his real name!) wrote the awesome books Huckleberry Finn and the Adventures of Tom Sawyer! others 2 but ya these r teh best
TokyoPOP - a manga/anime book company it usually develops very good mangas! my favs: chobits (manga) and devil may cry (book)
