I've heard that the youngest is three months. they say the younger the better. only thing, if you pierce her ears that young, you just need to be sure that you take extra care of them and that she doesn't tug on em and all that. my baby just turned a month but i plan to pierce her ears at 3 months.

You shouldn't. Infants don't tend to stay still for long, and there is increased risk of uneven holes when they grow up. There is a chance of infection, if the needle isn't properly sterilized, and this goes doubly for piercing guns found in retail stores. Also, the baby will play with and touch her ears often as she grows bigger, increasing the risk of infection. And as she gains more dexterity, she may be able to twist the earring off, and accidentally ingest it. Or may tug so hard she rips her earlobe. Not to mention, it hurts. I would never want to cause my child intentional pain.
Besides all that, I'd rather she make the decision to alter her body on her own, when she was old enough to make an informed choice.

I think that 3-4 months is the best time. I was 6 weeks old when I got mine done (things were different then) and I am so glad my mom did! I have never had any problems and when I was in elementary school and some of my friends were going for the first time to get theirs pierced most of them ended up taking them out. Mine never got infected and I left them out for 2 years and they didn't grow up a bit. It's so much less of a hassle when you get them done younger. Here is a website that talks about it giving health concerns and pros/cons of the right age for infant piercing.

I plan on piercing my daughter's ears when she is 6 months old. But you can do it when ever. I wouldn't wait too long because toddlers tend to mess with things when they are not supposed to and if the earrings have been there long enough she won't even care that they are there.

I would say 3-4 months. I was so worried about hurting my baby that I went to Walmart and bought a newborn piercing kit and I did them myself while she was sleeping in her carseat, she didn't even wake up when I did it! She's 5 now and she hasn't had any problems with them.

18 years-old? The sooner her ears are pierced, the sooner she may develop nickel allergy. Put it off as long as possible.
