It won't make any difference which adapter you buy, usually. See, you have to have high speed on both ends; having it on one end only gets you nowhere. So, unless you'll be connecting to a 108 Mb/sec wireless router, your connection won't be any faster at all.

And if you'll be buying both the router and the NIC(s), I'd suggest MIMO, at least if the area you're wanting to cover is very large. Although it's "only" 54 Mbit, it's about 5 times as fast as both Super G (108) and draft-N, if you're more than one room or floor away. It's speed will stay 54 Mbit up to about 150 feet indoors, no matter how many walls/floors it has to go through.

Of course, if you're only wanting a wireless network for internet access, they're all faster than your access will be, so it doesn't make any difference which you buy. Well, that's true unless you have FIOS, which is about 10 times as fast as cable, and cable is considerably faster than DSL.
