I am a colored person and a Muslim. I thought I should tell you people that, before anything. I wonder if that matters, in Australia?

Anyway, someone please reply me seriously.

Thanks

Don't know how is the Muslim situation in Australia right now but I think you can try to just say "hi" to this girl. A friendly smile and nod will be nice for a first impression. And if you see her returning that smile, just go up to her and have a conversation with her. Good luck.

I am a white Australian girl, and would make friends with a 'coloured muslim' if I thought we shared the same values and beliefs. Unfortunately it is hard not to be stereotyped, so you might get knocked back, but I suggest indroducing yourself to her, and explaining to her your feelings on certain subjects that you think may be the reason behind the typcast of the muslim community.

Hey mate, I don't think that, you being muslim will matter, the racial tension is barely there anymore (for us at least) . Just try talking to her, see how she reacts. Your gut should tell you what's right.
