Ghana is a very easy going and relaxed country with nothing that you really need to be aware of other than a couple of points - ask someone before you take their photo and don't wear military style clothing. You'll also need to have a Yellow Fever vaccination before you go and should take your vaccination certificate with you, although it's a requirement of visiting the country I've never been asked for one, speak to your doctor for more details.

As I'm sure you already know, Ghanaians are extremely friendly people and wherever you go you'll be made very welcome and looked after well.

It's a very different country to America but I'm sure you're aware of that.

I've visited from the UK and it's one of the easiest countries to visit with the minimum of formalities.

Have a great time, I'm sure you will.
