what are the cons of just a judge and no jury in a civil case?

i need to know this for an essay why is a jury better than a judge and why should there be a jury rather than just a judge?

You might get sympathy from a jury, only the rule of law from a judge.

a judge will adhere to the strictest form of the law, meaning there will be no feeling if he/she is honest. a jury cannot help but involve feelings into their decision .
