Sibling rivalry is perfectly normal, it's happened with me and my brother. I know we're not of the same sex but it happens with all siblings. You can read some articles on sibling rivalry by typing in sibling rivalry at google.com.

My sister and I. I never knew until I got married- how much my younger sibling was competing with me and then she said how she hated being compared to me and referred to as my little sister- she always did what I did and strived to do it better. My kids do the same now!

Yea, I did it all the time with my twin sister, with about everything a person can compete against xD
We still do it, but we're not serious about it anymore.
