I am currently 4 months pregnant, and looking for work. Do employers hire pregnant women, or should I wait until after the baby is born and things have settled. Im sick of feeling like a looser for being on centrelink payments, and want to do something with my life! I am 24, have a 2 year old, worked in clubs and bars, offices, stores, retail, can do just about anything I put my mind too, and a hard worker! I live in the Illawarra.

I don't know where Illawarra is? So I don't know about laws over there regarding discrimination and pregnancy. But either way it's best to get a temporary job, you may decide against a permanent job after you have the baby. A temporary job will give you flexibility.

I hired a woman recently that was pregnant, and we told her she is welcome back when she is done recovering... so some employers will.

You may also look out for an option to work online to make extra cash in your spare time.

try telemarketing, i once worked at Americall and 90 percent of the woman were pregnant, i believe because you're not required to be on your feet.
