if you are talking about on the ipod itself and not itunes then not until you record over it or you reset your ipod and then manually add songs from itunes. If you are talking about downloading into your itunes folder just delete it and it's gone.

Yes you can but you will need to use iTunes to delete the song how you do this is by deleting the song form the iTunes playlist not the library but the play list which has all the song you have listed on your ipod then sync you ipod and the song will be removed form you ipod. that is correct you can't accidentaly take it off your Computer, but if you take off the Check mark next to that song (adjacent to the song) it will not down load to your ipod the next time you charge the ipod.
Then if you want it back you just check the box adjacent to that song and it will again download.

yes u can, either clear it from itunes or use the setting where the song has to be checked to go to your ipod then uncheck the songs you dont want

Wrong, all you have to do is go into your music file, for example my music and delete it. for your ipod uncheck the box and update your ipod.

uh, NO! after connecting it, go to it's music library in itunes, scroll to whatever song you don't want and delete!
