...anybody else out there who really enjoyed it like me??? I don't really know the original, so it might be easier for me. I listened again to it tonight, and I really, really like it...Randy was right, itwas arranged a little like 'Coldplay', but I thought it was supergood and could even be recorded!

I do remember the original, and I thought he did an awesome job! He changed it up to sound current, and did a great job singing it! The judges just have a burr in their butts...

I'm pretty certain that those familiar with the original (like me), would agree that Sligh's version just doesn't match up. If anyone is going to modify an old classic, it would have to outdo its predecessor or be viewed as subpar.

It wasn't a bad arrangement but the original is definitely better.

I'm sorry I really hated what he did to it. It's such a passionate song, brings back memories for me, and he made it just too poppy and frivolous. I agree with Randy that he shouldn't have messed with it.

the original diana ross and lionel richie is the best and classic. chris did a terrible job singing that song.
