Does anybody know a sturdy lightweight material I can use?

I need it in a straight bar-type form at least 1 meter (3ish feet) long. I also need to be able to drill into it. I'm using it for a chassis to a car I'm making. Style doesn't matter. Also helpful would be where I could get it.

You could use fiberglass or aluminum. Several cars on the road already do.
