What do you think of this song and what do you think of Avril?

I don't like it... But I guess her new album means, it's no more of the sad songs as she did in Under My Skin... and more like her first album... She's who she is... people change, guess you can either support her or walk away. Can't wait to hear some more of her new stuff. ^ - ^

i liked avril before the girlfriend days...i think she's a little too peppy in this song. i hope the album has some slower songs like other ones from the past. but it sure is dang catchy!

I have never taken her or her music seriously.
I would not ever label her music as "Punk".
As for the song 'Girlfriend' (that I was involuntarily exposed to) - it is either a parody of a girl who is arrogant and wants to steal another girl's bf, or it is a sad cheerleader-based 'I truly am an arrogant "mf princess"and there is nothing you can do about it' Pop-Rock song.

I never liked that hypocritical I'll-never-be-girly poser.
Girlfriend is such an AWFUL song.
It makes my ears bleed.
Listening to Avril makes me wanna take Advil.

the video was all.. pink. x.x
and avril didn't use to be a pink person.
i think she's going into more of a 'pop' sound than punk, like she used to be.

I like avril as a punk, but latley she has been expatiating her style. Girlfriend sounds too preppy, i agree.

I like it. She just seems kinda not as in the forefront as she was a couple years ago. It's OK though, she'll be back w/ a bang soon.
