The show to catch a predator.I love the show.Never knew there were so many people preying on our children. But my question is the men that try and hookup with the kids it is a crime for them but what about the kids that agree to meet with them.I think they should require some kind of counseling or something.I mean when I was young I knew better then to agree to meet with a strange man.Would never even think of it not even today as an adult. So what about these kids.Something is wrong here.

i agree-little girls are trying too hard to grow up too fast. and even boys, though not nearly as much or as fast. we need to teach them thats its ok to be a kid as long as they want, they dont need to be acting all grown up, they have to do it for the rest of their lives anyway! Counseling would be a good idea for a lot of them, i just wish they could all afford it.

This isn't something new.

The only real difference between these days (now) and the old days (say the 1950's) is technology.

Technology not only provides more opportunities for children to be taken advantage of, but it overwhelms the public with information. Pedophiles are nothing new and the only reason you're hearing more about it is because we have greater access to media these days.

In seconds a news story can spread like wildfire across the entire world. We then get the sense that "Oh this must be a widespread problem!" Well of course it is. It always has been. We just didn't have the Net and Dateline back then.

We also live in more chaotic times where often both parents work to make ends meet. Time parents devote to children is minimal. There are interruptions like email, cell phones, text messages, etc...

In the 1950's the husband worked 6 days a week and on his day off the entire family was expected to spend the day out together, not playing video games or sitting in front of computers.*

So let's not blame the children for seeking the time and attention they so desperately need.

Those arent kids they are using most are 19 or 20 that look much younger. Anyone under the age of 18 is not considered an adult so no its not illegal, although they do have some counciling for the kids that run into this in real life. But the show uses actorsactresses that are legal age.

The people who do that show are "perverted justice decoys" who get payed for invited pervs over to another decoy, a girl with the age and dec. of what the older decoy said, ands the younger dcoy bribes him inside, that's when Hanson will get them.
I honestly hate thoose men...Internet speaking, I'ver had atleast 20 men try to hit on me. Seriously, I think just because I say I'm a mature girl means "I have lots of knowagle of sex and I am girl who's looking"...Honestly, I'm glad I educated myself and rather than my mom did it. She still thinks that I am very immuture.

And a note to all pervs out there, don't mail a younger girl saying "w0w 7h4t3 c001 h0w 01d r u?/?" honestly, it won't work for me, that's for sure...

I think some kids just need attention so bad they will do anything to get it that they need to feel loved by someone and will try anything to feel loved

so make sure your children have your attention and always feel loved
