zantac syrup?

for those of you that have used it for your children, how long did it take for you to see improvement in your child's health? and what changes did you see?

My son went on .5 ml 3 times a day at 1 1/2 months. I saw a huge improvement in just 1 weeks time. At about 3 months he went to 2 times a day. He's now 5 months and is doing 100% better than before the zantac. We just started him on solids and will most likely ween him from the zantac at 6 months.

Before the zantac he never ever slept for more than an hour at a time, most the time shorter. He was miserable (and so was I), he'd spit up ALOT, it seemed like more was coming up than going in. And he'd cry all the time due to the acid in his esophagus causing pain. Now he hardly ever spits anything up, and he's a happy baby.

My son started it at 4 weeks at .5 twice daily. I noticed an improvement within four days. Meaning, that he stopped crying in pain due to the reflux. Around 1-2 weeks later, he stopped spitting up as much and was no longer projectile vomiting.

He's now 8 months and just weaned off it a few weeks ago. I took him to a chiropractor and acupuncturist and they worked like a charm. I tried several times to get him off and it just finally worked.

my daughter is now 2 and she had acid reflux for about a yr. she was put on zantac and it worked very well for her. i started seeing changes with her about 1 week after she was put on it. her changes were that she could keep her formula down. she could sleep at night and she wasnt choking in the middle of the night anymore.

my baby was given zantac syrup for acid reflux.. the doctor said that we should see improvements within a week... my baby still hasn't responded to this or any other treatments.. but hopefully it does for yours...
