You write a resume, explain breifly what happened during your "break". If you took classes or volunteered during that time, be prepared to mention it - that is more important than just taking time off, that you kept yourself current. Plenty of people take breaks and return to work, so just don't make it look like you are hiding anything and you will be fine.
