Try looking after the Turkish Admiral's Piri Reis map.
The Piri Reis map shows the western coast of Africa, the eastern coast of South America, and the northern coast of Antarctica. The northern coastline of Antarctica is perfectly detailed. The most puzzling however is not so much how Piri Reis managed to draw such an accurate map of the Antarctic region 300 years before it was discovered, but that the map shows the coastline under the ice. Geological evidence confirms that the latest date Queen Maud Land could have been charted in an ice-free state is 4000 BC.

A. Leif Ericksson was the first to establish a settlement there. The ship he used was one he bought from a man named Bjorni who, according to the sagas, had already been here. It was a belief that a ship would remember past journeys, so Leif bought it in order to take him to this new p0lace that he had been told of. He really had little choice as he had been sentenced to Outlawry in Iceland and had to leave for 6 years. He went first to greenland, and then on to Neufoundland, Lans Aux Meadows was the name of the site. They called the place Vinland. It is eroneously believed that that the name was derived from there having been grapes growing there and thus meant wineland. Adtually the Old Norse ter "VIN" translated into english as Pasture and thus Vinland meant pastureland. In the same way that the land further south were filled with trees and called by the Norse Settlers "Markland" which translated as forrest land. The confusion arose when the term "Vin" was assumed to be the Latin word for wine since the translations were originally done by those that were more familiar with Latin than with the Old Norse language.

Perhaps-it's debateable;Scandinavia A.They are trying to move his statue out of the park at the harbor in Seatle because it could cause discord! Isn't that just ridiculus! Just like take Jesus out of Christmas and disinfranchise any ethnic, racial, religious group so that the others are not offended! That is so wrong! Try bringing up children that way! "Charlie gets an "A" so Mom gives him a gold star on the refridgerator, Ann and Bill cry it's making them feel unworthy! So Dad gives all 3 stars even though Ann and Bill received C's" You gotta try to stay sane!

I must say that you are wrong. The coast of north America was discovered a lot earlier from ancient Greeks. In ancient Greek literature it is clear that Greeks were aware of those coasts and had already understood that earth was not flat.
