Whatever happened to wooing, sweeping a girl off her feet, or seducing her even? Honestly, what woman wants to be " wined , dined and 69d?" How in the world is that good for one's self esteem? Just asking. Saw it on TV and it made me throw up a little in my mouth.

Romance is still alive and well in some of us. I took my present girlfriend to Florida three weeks after we met for a two week all inclusive vacation of dinner, dancing, late night walks on the beach hand in hand, a luau, singing to her on the balcony in the evenings, rubbing a gallon of suntan oil on her, shopping at the malls, and constant pina colatas next to the pool while sunning. She's been pushing for marriage every since then. We still just date and enjoy the romance. As an additional point I have given her a rose every day that I have been to see her(without failing once).

I treated my wife the exactly the same way for sixteen years up to when she died of cancer and she still gets fresh flowers weekly on her grave.

Is that romantic enough? If not I've never had any complaints yet!

what happened to wooing? well i see a lot of young Lady's today who don't expect it. i myself have been guilty of it...of course I'm married now to a wonderful man, but 5 years ago when i was still single even i made it to easy for a guy to just take me out on a cheap date. we don't set the bar high enough any more... that's what i think anyway...

I think all women, want to be romanced.
we do not like to be used, some men do treat women
the way they should be. but some will do anything just to
sleep with her. and it is not good for the self esteem.

well i would be one of those woman and let me tell you something, it has nothing to do with self esteem, honey. these are things real couples do to show affection for one another. sure there are other ways to do it, but besides my man showing me affection through things he can provide for me. i need some of that little extra wooing to keep me going. sorry but in the words of LL COOL J "I need love!"

I know as a husband, I try to romance my wife, I take her out on dates, I do those little things around the house to make her feel appriciated, I tell her that I appriciate her and what I appriciate about her.

I know what you mean about it. I hardly watch tv anymore because of all the garbage on it. With how much they push sex. I don't know many women who want a guy who's only interested in getting in their pants.

I take my wife out on dates and do things for her, because I love her, without expecting her to do anything for me in return.

I wish we would see it alot more today than we do.

There are lots of guys who are into romance, just not anywhere near as many as those who aren't! Personally I suck at romance but waiting for sex isn't a problem either.
