Why yes. The oils from the peanut butter would help to create a barrier from the water. Oil and water don't mix. Just think.If you covered your body with peanut butter and jumped in a pool the water would shoot away from you like two positively charged ions.

ear plugs yes but i would not smear a food product or anything else not intended to be put in your ears without talking to an ear doctor

Use ear plugs whilst swimming or bathing. i be attentive to this works using fact I had a similar problem. yet whilst water does get in there visit Walgreens and purchase something referred to as Swim-Ear (relatively). this is low-fee and dries out moisture in the ear.
