Working in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming is an awesome experience. Check out http://www.yellowstonejobs.com/ for hiring information. You work for room and board and a little money plus get good employee perks and learn about the park from an insider's perspective. You have to pay your own way there and back home so it isn't the best job to earn cash, but probably is on up there as far as life experience!

I had all kinds of fun the summer I worked at Mount Rushmore. You have to be 18 to live in the dorm, but if you're local you could commute, or check your area for touristy places to work. I love working at touristy places!

Life guarding, camp counselor and wait tables are just a few. Also try working at stadiums since they always need people to man concession stands.

You may also look out for an option to work online to make extra cash in your spare time.
