Don't change your wardrobe, I had thee same prob in 8th grade. I changed my wardrobe and everyone called me a poser and a prep and ppl thought I was a fake. People will like you for who you are if you like who you are. Also, I suggest walking up to these 'people' and have a full conversation with them. It will shock the heck out of them and they will get to know you. Just imagine that these people like you and then you wont waste time worrying about what they think of you, instead ask questions about them. People will get to know you. They will like you if you show interest in them. Suddenly people will be calling you by your name and the stereo types will disappear.

i dont know how old u r, but i m gonna guess 16, 17? my suggestion is stop trying to be so extreme, u can be yourself but without looking like a retard. i have been there before. and if ur friends are gonna call u a poser? c'mon now how close of friends are they really now? wear jeans with a cool different shirt. some accesories...SOME. dont wear 18000 bracelets and an obnioxious necklace and safety pins in your ears as earrings. i used to be the kid who dressed for "shock factor" but u can learn how to incorpiorate your own touch into regular clothes. believe me

Are you gonna let those haters get what they want??? by changing your self you are only telling them that you care a lot about their opinion and that is what they want. If you like the clothes you wear, wear them! Ignore them wen they call you names or just say "I wear black to grieve for the superficial airheads like you in our generation". There are people like that in my school, and trust me wen i say they ARE total airheads who have nothing better to do than comment on peoples outfits. I like black too by the way and i do not consider myself and emo or a goth. The fact that you dont dress like veryeone else in all the latest trends just proves you are smarter and more creative, AND you have more personailty than them.

Don't change! Just remember the people who are name calling will be nothings in the future and you should not let it bother you. Wear what makes you feel comfortable and confident not what others think is normal! Stay YOU!

One simple answer. You can't. People are going to be rude and vicious no matter what. It is how you deal with what they say that's the most important thing. Just remember, don't let what they have to say bother you. It shouldn't anyways. It is a cruel world and unfortunatly this will never change.

well, if you really want to change the way you dress, then thats fine, but dont do it just to get people to stop calling you names. You should not wear all black, with all black make up. continue with the black, but mix it up with some reds, or whites or colors. Try not to wear so much black on your face either.

Why would you want to change who you are just because people call you name. You need to be yourself. If you be like everyone else, you will be boring. So what if you dress differently. Girl just be who you are and stop worrying about what others think........life is too short

You should ignore them because if you change for them then it will seem like you are listening to thema nd this will give them a feeling of victory. But if you do want to change I suggest more color and no black.
