After 4 kids... I can tell you that it truly depends on the child.
The last two children, I was thrilled to find "long lasting" diapers (Pampers Dry) that I used. If the baby is still feeding in the night, my suggestion is to change the diaper, feed (a full tummy helps sleep) and then back to bed for both.
If the baby is sleeping through the night, and the diaper is not completely soaked through... leave them be. Change 1st thing in the AM. There were times (not as often) when we did have to change the baby in the middle of the night, but we always left them in the crib and tried to change as quick as possible. Remember, when you're changing the baby, he/she is going to feel a BIG chill when you take that diaper off!
A little trick to help prevent diaper rash ~ use a hair dryer (low/warm setting) to dry a newly cleaned bottom! This will let you get your baby's bottom dry! :D
Good Luck and Congrats!

I use pampers diapers and haven't had to change her at night. When she does get a diaper rash it is usually due to the runs or something acidic she has eaten (not the case with a baby that young though since she probably isn't on a solid diet). If she is prone to them then I would change her when you get her up for her midnight feeding and use a ointment such as Desitin or A&D or Butt Butter. All of these protect from diaper rash by providing a shield to the skin from urine and feces. But generally don't worry about changing her at night unless she is prone to it.

As long as you put a fresh diaper on when they go to bed and change it as soon as they wake up, then diaper rash isn't a problem usually. If you find that the child still gets a rash anyways, try putting some diaper rash cream on them with the last diaper and letting them air out for a little while in the morning.

I don't change the diaper unless it's poop (which hopefully you can get your baby into the routine of doing that activity during the day). I will say that our Kirkland diapers last all-night long except for when our son reaches the "upgrade" point. If you're finding that the diapers are wetting thru its usually a sign that your baby is ready to go up to the next size.

depends on how much your child wets, and makes BMs. I find usually my son stays on the dryer side of things until atleast 4am then releases the flood gates and has never made BMs at night. It helps if you really load up on the diaper rash cream before bed and there are diaper extenders available on the market that up the absorbancy of diapers. I havent tried them but have seen them on websites that you can order diapers on. With a little one that young, Id suggest keeping up with the changes though. What I did when I had to change my little one in the middle of the night is do it by feel. I always made sure he wore easy on off jammies to bed, then when diaper changes came along did the least amount of fussing. No lights on, very little movement of him in the bed and I found he didnt wake up much if at all. Now that hes 10 months old its another story....you could breath at him funny and he'll wake up screaming from being disturbed but will let you cuddle with him all night while co sleeping. So now that hes older I just load up on diaper cream before bed and only change him at midnight if hes truly wet.

I only change if they are poopy! They can last with a little bit of a wet diaper through out the night! Wouldn't ever leave them in a poopy diaper though.. No matter how long it takes them to get back to bed... You don't want to have to deal with a baby with diaper rash!!

If it's a poopy diaper you must change it. If it's just wet I go the whole night and let baby sleep. Before putting her to sleep make sure her diaper is clean, and apply a diaper rash cream and then baby powder to keep her dry.

Really, there is no need to change them unless they are awake with a full diaper. Dont wake them up for that. If its been more than 5hrs, then change it if it really starts to bother you. Plus easy on the baby wipes as overuse can actually give them a diaper rash too.
Get your sleep or youll all lose it.

If your baby is 1 month old, she's probably waking up to eat anyways. If you change her diaper before your baby is done with the bottle she'll probably go right back to sleep and that way you don't have to worry about having to wake your baby again if she gets too wet. **Also I know baby wipes can be so cold it seems like it shocks the baby so alot of times I'd just hurry up and switch diapers and skip the baby wipes in the middle of the night.**

My 4 month old get up just once at about 5am, I feed her then change her diaper and put her back down. But I don't have a problem with her going right back to sleep, and she's been wearing it since about 8pm the night before so its pretty wet.
