do you think it'd be dumb to take three more classes to get a second degree just for the sake of having a second degree
when I finish my current degree I will only need
calculus II and physics II and maybe palentology
to complete a bachleors of Geology
I don't plan to go into geology but three classes isn't that much. so why not just get the degree or is that stupid and a waste of time?

learning is never a waste of time. i think you should go for it. one day, it will help you somehow. and having a second degree is great because you don't have to be stuck doing just one thing. you can switch over whenever. go for it!!

I'd do it. A whole 2nd degree for just 3 more classes? Totally worth it. You can find some BS reason as to why you have it. You'll find some use for it, if only to make you more interesting when applying somewhere. Gets you noticed more.
Totally worth 3 classes. That's only one extra semester/quarter.
