those teacher that do sub-consciously feel that there is less resistance to teaching these kids because they already strive for the "norm". In life the first thing teachers Have to do is fine a common ground - language, background, items of interest etc so that they can communicate on a common level. The preppies give the appearance that the teacher can skip pass the "common ground" problem.
teachers with experience can see thru the preppies with false values.

i dont think that they favor preppy kids because they are preppy, but typically preppy kids have a more outgoing attitude and more easy to read....they can connect with them because they open up easier(need for attention) ....if ur giving a speech and u feel akward but some one interacts with u(looking for attention) would u want to react with them more!...its all in how u look at things. dont try to put labels on everything..

Maybe they seem more approachable than the kid with all the piercings and multicolored hair.

because the preps are goody goody kids that have their head shoved so far up you know where that you don't know where they start and they begin.

They tend to take their work seriously and they're usually not troublemakers.
