Of course i will be bringing money with me to vegas. I just wanted to know if their was anything free to see or do in vegas. Also, redsoxchaser i am a waitress and know that we rely big on tips. I would never go into a restaurant and not tip. The only time I've ever done that was once when I got the worst service and the restaurant was just dead. That waitress deserved what she got.

You can see the best afternoon show in LV for free, or almost free. I think Harrah's still gives away two free tickets to the Mac King show for first time sign ups to their slot club "Total Rewards"> NO, you don't have to play a nickel to get the tickets, just sign up. Or in the booth located in the Carnaval Court next to Harrah's they hand out coupons to see the show for $7.95

Must see hotels
Caesars Palace
Venetian
Luxor

For window shopping
Forum Shops - Caesars Palace
Desert Passage - Aladdin
Grand Canal Shoppes - Venetian

Best of the free spectacles
Fountains of Bellagio
Fremont Street Experience
Masquerade Show in the Sky - Rio

Free things to do in Vegas. See the Masquerade show at the Rio. It's like Mardi Gras & lasts about 15 min. 5 or 6 shows a day. Downtown Freemont St. light show. After dark every hour on the hour. Lion cubs at MGM are fun to watch. Circus Circus acrobats. Take a tour of the Ethel M chocolate factory & cactus garden in Henderson. Just walk through the casinos & admire the decor, landscaping & original themes. Each is a unique & imaginative creation.

Just wander through all the hotels and casinos and shopping malls! That is free, and air conditioned, and lots of fun. In the hotel shopping areas there are often wandering troups of actors, musicians, acrobats to watch for free.

See the multi colored M&Ms available at the M&M store.

At night, see the volcano at the Mirage, or the water fountains at the Bellagio. Freemont Street has an overhead light show at night. TI has a pirate show outside for free every night.

Small fee to see the white tigers and other animals at the Mirage.

You can visit each and every casino and sight see. walking inn them is free. There is a water show at the belllagio and a cool pirate show in front of treasure island. There is also an electric parade at the rio. if you have a car, driving to the hoover dam and looking at that is free too. if you gamble, you can drink for free. but you have to gamble. so take like $20, and go to the nickel slots until you see a waitress and you can get a free drink. you might not go through a buck or two before they come back with it.

You dont have to spend a penny besides on food- and can be entertained 24/7. Just walking around the hotel/casino/resorts is enough for me. Eye candy is everywhere and there are free "shows" outside many hotels: Bellagio fountains, Treasure Island Siren's show (used to be a pirate show....lasts about 20 minutes and has acting, singing, dancing, and fireworks..oh and a ship gets sunk), the "valcano" at the Mirage, Paris used to have a parade at certian times of the day...the parade in the sky inside Rio happens several times a day, of course there is the Freemont Street experience, complete with a 15 minute or so light show at dusk and live music....Just window shopping and exploring the architecture and landscaping of these multi-million and billion dollar resorts is really awe-inspiring and if you can just be happy with walking around and exploring I tell you, you dont need to spend a dime! Go to Fremont street!! it is the world biggest tv screen in the sky! seriously though, downtown is seriously underratted in Las Vegas.

Everything else pretty much got covered in previous comment. As that other girl said, almost every casino has a free show or some other kind of entertainment walking around. The problem is knowing when to go. it is a huge pain in the butt trying to find out when the performers come out and stuff and then you have to wait around in the casino to see them. On the other hand, if you arent willing to pay for it then you are getting A LOT more than you payed for ;)

I know......NOTHING!
Please do not come to our town with no money!
You will have a terrible time and you will encounter many frustrated service employees. Vegas has changed dramatically and it is not the cheap rooms, lounge singers, $2.00 steaks and dirt cheap buffets!
We have world class chefs and restaurants, glamorous hotels and suites and accommodations that rival anywhere in the world.
All the low-end hotels are being replaced by megaresorts.
Be prepared to pay top dollar for all your fun.
Just a reminder, us folks who work and count on tips are stripped of our wages to compensate for our tips by the
IRS. We are taxed big $$$ whether you tip or not. So when you don't tip you are actually costing us money.
How about a trip to New Mexico?

I guess just walk around on the strip, theres nothing free in this world... take pictures of the different hotels..
what you can get for free is go to a bar stand around and maybe if your lucky some guy will offer to buy you a drink, now thats free.. But i guess you have to dress sexy... But then again, nothing is free in this world..

watch the "shows" they give for free in front of each hotel. like in front of Bellagio there's a free water show and it's beautiful! they have a fire volcano outside of Mirage. in Rio they have a mascarade show inside. Circus Circus has free circus acts, eh they're not so good but ok for kids. Treasure Island has a pirate show.
there's lots of stuff, different things for each hotel. just as you walk bYe hotels, look and see what theY have. theY're also on brochures.

hope that helps.
