It sounds like many of my friends are going and a t first i didnt really want ta go because i dont dance but then i thought it might be a good idea. Of coarse though i wouldnt want to be the only one of my friends not going(as long as i wasnt sick). The dance is in 3 months-what should i do?

Go to the dance, of course! You're only in eighth grade for one year. Who cares if you can't dance? If you dance stupid, guess what? NO ONE WILL REMEMBER THE NEXT DAY! Trust me, I'm an expert when it comes to dances. Just go! Live your life!

Take a tip from Napolean Dynamite, and learn, baby! Who cares if you can't dance? How do you know what kind of time you'll have if you don't go??!! I was the stay at home, no friends nerd in school, and I missed out! So go, have fun, and if people stare at you while you're there, moon them! Ha ha, no don't do that, but GO! High school is suppose to be the most fun, memorable time in your life! Believe me, if I could go back and do it again, I would. Don't have regrets in your life while you're so young! Enjoy your youth while you have it, please!

Personally I think dances are over-rated. You'll probably change your mind back and forth several times over the course of the next 3 months. Just see how you feel a little farther down the road.

Absolutely you should go! It's things like dances and ballgames and such that make going to school worth it, you're with your friends having fun. I'll bet your friends would miss you if you didn't go! You don't have to have a date for a dance, just go and if there's a fella there you like ask him to dance. I never knew how to dance..I just copied what others were doing. Absolutely you should go! Have Fun !! G.

Go for sure! Just make sure you look hot- but not like too hot like you care that much. Who CARES if u cant dance- just be crazy!!! Practice often. Crank up your music at home and just jump around and loosen up! If you are too shy to even attempt to dance, that is ok. Just be one of those mysterious boys who mingle. But listen. You CAN slow dance. Its really easy. Just get some balls and ask a girl to dance.Be like "lets dance!!" Just put your arms around her waist and she will put her arms aroung your neck. It will be sooo hot. If she rejects you, then she is a biyotch and you are better off with out her. I hate snobby biyotches.

Then slip her the tongue.

Haha just kidding.

Good luck kiddo!!!!

Have soo much fun.

yes! go to your dance! at mine, there were a bunch of people who didn't know how to dance. but there were so many people there dancing in a huge crowd that you didn't even notice those who weren't good dancers. you could always pratice dancing on your own before the dance. find videos on youtube and get ideas from them. trust me, you'll really regret not going.

I think you should go to the dance and have fun with your friends. Also you can always do the head bob thing.

i missed my 8th grade promo dance! i think you should go, b/c i think i missed out on a lot of fun. usually, at dances, its more of a social time with your friends than really dancing... so it'll be fun. plus, you get to pick out a dress. joys of being an 8th grader...
