Can I use voice recorder to call them to remind customers to pay bill? any advice?

Hi everyone, I have a question we have a small business and when customers are late i call them and inform them that there service will be cancelled if they dont pay, i wish i could find a way to make the calls without speaking to them directly..like some sort of voice message informing them the info, I know my doc has a system where they record the message and call you, do you think I can maybe use a voice message recorder and when they answer the call just put the recorder near the phone? I know there are online services but they are very pricey, any ideas would be appreciated thanks

if your computer called me I'd hang-up on it...Keep the personal touch, otherwise you won't get paid
