I am trying to find a word that means " a lot of knowlege about a rare subject." It's slightly derogatory, and could be used in this contect: "Her expertise on the mating rituals of ants is..."
I can't think of the word. Thanks.

highly specialized. I know what you mean, but i cant think of the exact word. If it comes to me i'll edit my question and post it.
ok..I browsed abit and came across synonyms for Knowledgeable...the link is below...so you can see the definitions, but I liked "scholastic", even though its not accurate with what you want.
