Like I have had plenty of opportunities to make friends but just didnt do what it takes to do so, havent had the motivation. I have friends but they just annoy me when they come around because I am just so use to being by myself I just always want to be alone. This wouldnt bother me but I am tired of my mom saying "get some friends" you are a loner, and my thing is if I wanted friends I would have them but I just dont want them is there anything wrong with that?

There's nothing wrong with enjoying being alone. Hey, are you happy? If you are happy, that's what I would tell your mom. Maybe SHE likes to have her friends around. She probably just wants you to be happy.

If you really feel the desire to be alone, and you're comfortable and happy with it, there's no problem. If you're feeling down and you're avoiding making friends mostly because of a lack of motivation, you might have other underlying issues. I can understand not wanting to make friends. Especially cause it can be difficult to find good ones, where everything doesn't feel like an effort. I'd say, if you're happy, you're fine. If you are feeling kinda 'blah' about it all, it wouldn't hurt to get some counseling or talk to someone close to you. Social interaction/development is important to your personal growth and maturity.

I f you are a kid this is most likely a phase. But you may also be like me and sometimes people just annoy you and you rather be alone than get annoyed. In that case, you need to find people that are more mature to hang around. I find myself drawn to older women as friends than to poeple my age.

You know sometimes people just don't understand that you want to be left alone, I love being left alone sometimes, no questions, no problems, no complaining, no nothing the peace and quiet of being by myself. You just enjoy your own company that is very cool most people don't they need to be surrounded by people
