I think because he was so violent and injured a lot of wrestlers.

Its because he was so careless and injured wrestlers. Which shows a lack of respect for the business and for his fellow wrestlers. His ego is too big and his skills don't warrant it.

EDIT: The NFL thing was a smoke screen for him to save face.

no he wasnt fired, he said we are born with 1 life and he cant see himself wrestling forever so he asked for his release to pursue nfl dreams
wwe offered him the job again in 2005 and lesnar was 1 sign away but at the last moment he turned down wwe's job offer and went ahead to pursue hin nfl dreams but later he wasnt succeful in making it to the minnesota vikings team
and due to his no compete clause he couldnt work for any wrestling promotion in the US he then left for japan and he wrestled over there untill Nov 2006 and he quit his japanese job to join MMA ( Mixed Martial Arts)

No. He quit to pursue an NFL career which he failed at after he was cut in the preseason a few years back by the Minnesota Vikings.

I heard the "official" reason was that his contract expired, and they could not reach an agreement, so he left "to pursue other interests elsewhere", but that just always sounded like it was awefully "sugar-coated" to me, so I don't know.
