Of the answers that I have seen so far, I am surprised that no-one suggested Mathematician. These guys are into everything, they help with statistical analysis to help insurance companies determine insurance premiums, they help in NASA to determine flight paths of projectiles put into space, they act as business consultants (eg statistically determining if a taxi company needs to take on new taxis or dump a few), they can be used in banking, machinery design, numerical analysis in government departments, in marketting....all over the place.. Some of the careers suggested seem not to have a direct link with mathematics and relate to personal interest rather than allow the math background be a suitable qualification....any professional person can become a good politician, you do not have to major in maths to become one for instance. Seems that you are getting a lot of random advice...go see the careers person at your school, you might get better information. Good luck.

I would look into the Medical feild if you are a strong Math Major! There are many options there. Not just in the Laboratory, but look into Biomedical or clinical engineering! Strong math skills are required to be able to repair equipment. Money is quite decent and is a clean job as well. You will need some electronics to acheive this, but Medical feild is the way to go if you are looking to make money in your feild. And come on, you did not spend the money for college to not make the money you are capable of with a math degree.
Best Of Luck!!
